From the 2009 season onwards, the engage Super League Championship will be decided by an exciting new play-off format involving the top eight teams in the competition.
The format will also feature an innovative new element which sees one team given the opportunity to choose its next opponent.
Yesterday the fixtures for the 2009 Engage Super League campaign were released. The Rovers will kick off the season with arguably the hardest 3 games available, with the first being a trip away to the Bradford Bulls. Following on from the tricky away tie, the Robins line up with a home game against the Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos, then a massive game away at St Helens.
Some would argue that it's better to play the top sides early on, others would prefer an easier start to ease into the season.
